We repaired the silver necklace.

ピンクゴールドとシルバーのコンビネーションが爽やかなネックレスを修理しました。
　
チェーンが切れていた箇所を溶接したのですが、実はこの素材はシルバー。シルバーってとっても加工が難しいんです。
　
材料自体の価格が安価なため、修理費用も安いと思ってご相談くださる方が多いのですが、実はプラチナやゴールドのジュエリーよりも加工に手間と労力がかかります。それでも私はお修理代を一定にしていますが、加工してくださる中村さん（弊店の職人さん）にはいつも頭が上がりません。心から尊敬と感謝をしています。

ではなぜシルバーは加工が大変なのか？
それは熱伝導率の高さに理由があります。
　
プラチナが溶ける温度は1769度。
そしてゴールドは1064度。
ではシルバーはというと、961度。

数字を見ただけでは違いがよく分かりませんが、よく中村さんが私に言うのは
「シルバーは本当に一瞬で溶接しないと、全部に熱が回って一瞬で溶けて無くなるんです。だから大変なんですよ。溶接箇所以外はできるだけ熱が通らないように水で濡らしたタオルで包んだりして工夫してるんです。」ということ。何十回もご指導いただいております。。笑

だからシルバーをお持ちの皆様。
どうかどうかそっと優しいお取り扱いをお願いいたします。間違ってもつけたままお風呂に入ったり寝たりしないように。帰宅したらボックスなどに大切に保管してくださいね。

We fixed the cut part of chain, in fact, this material was a silver. Fixing silver is so difficult.

Why is it tough for us to touch up silver?
That’s the reason why, it’s about high thermal Conductivity.

The melting point of platinum is 1769 degrees, gold is 1064, and silver is 961.

However, we can’t find a difference about that only to see figures.

He often said to me
“I’m so hard to touch up silver.
Because unless I do it at a moment, all of them will become melt.I always try to cold them except fixing part!!”
Many times…lol

So, for all people who have silver jewelry, touch softly, gently, kindness, please.

Don’t keep to have while bath time, and sleeping. I wish that you will put into a special care box.
