メレダイヤデザイン画

メレダイヤとは、小粒ダイヤのこと。

フランス語でメレーとは、”ごちゃごちゃに混ぜ合わせる”意味のことを言います。

色々なサイズの小さなダイアモンドが混ざり合ったロットのことをこう呼んでいたそうです。その後、小さなダイアモンドのことをメレーダイヤと呼ぶようになりました。日本では「メレ」「メレダイヤ」と言います。

小さなメレがたくさん集まると、

一粒一粒の輝きがまるで水面のキラキラのように見えて

繊細ながら見惚れる美しさです。
